About us
Women in AI Cameroon (WAI-CAM) is a citizen movement founded in Yaoundé in 2026. We believe artificial intelligence must be understood, used and shaped by Cameroonian women — not merely endured.

AI and emerging technologies
We run awareness, hands-on training and support programmes so that every woman can understand, use and benefit from the opportunities AI offers: jobs, entrepreneurship and local innovation.

Train 500 regional trainers to multiply local impact.
Introduce 50,000 women to the uses and opportunities of AI by 2030.
Direct and indirect beneficiaries through programmes and community projects.
In Cameroon, access to digital tools and AI is still unequal. WAI-CAM works to close this gap between urban and rural areas, and for women and girls.
We mobilise women and young people through training, mentoring and community action to accelerate an inclusive adoption of artificial intelligence in Cameroon.
To enable women to understand, use and take ownership of artificial intelligence technologies, improving their living conditions and contributing actively to the development of their communities.
A Cameroon that leads by example in digital inclusion and responsible innovation, where women do not endure the AI revolution but fully drive it.

These values define how we act every day.

You don't need to be an engineer to understand AI.

Women who train and inspire other women.

AI as a lever for autonomy and decision-making.
WAI-CAM puts inclusion, ethics and social impact at the heart of its mission.
WAI-CAM is led by a committed presidency, an executive board (general secretariat, treasury, auditors, research & development, communications), regional leads across Cameroon, a Europe & Asia branch and a youth unit running the Youth & AI programme.
