Strategic meeting with MINPOSTEL – Digital inclusion in Cameroon

On 12 February 2026, Women in AI Cameroon (WAIC) was received by Her Excellency Minette Libom Li Likeng, Minister of Posts and Telecommunications (MINPOSTEL), for a high-level working session on transforming access to artificial intelligence in Cameroon.
At a time when nearly 70% of African women remain on the margins of the digital ecosystem, WAIC acts as a catalyst for digital equity. The organisation carries a strong vision: making artificial intelligence a lever of emancipation accessible to all women, whatever their academic or professional background.
Through its initiatives, WAIC works to democratise AI skills and roll out programmes adapted to a wide range of profiles — entrepreneurs, traders, farmers, teachers and artisans — while sparking girls' interest in technology.
This new strategic meeting continues that dialogue: artificial intelligence must not remain the preserve of an elite, but reach the whole socio-economic fabric, from the market to the classroom and the farm.
Cameroon's digital future is built together. Every woman has a rightful place in it.
